If you’ve found yourself wishing for more clients instead of one type of industry, Gorilla Dash can help you speak directly to those customers.
We have just deployed an AI tool that quietly adds industry tags to your customers. When industry is not pulled in from your point-of-sale platform (and you do not add it manually), AI bots take on that research. They work in the background to look up the business and assign it an industry.
That means fewer mystery records and more targeted emails without the late-night spreadsheet archaeology.
With this extra information, you can build campaigns for specific industries in just a few clicks. Think of the tailored messages you could send to current (and potential!) customers in retail, education, healthcare — you name it!
Perhaps a pre-holiday offer for retailers. Or a reminder just for schools. A quick update for healthcare workers.
Same tools, sharper focus.
If you are not creating targeted emails, this is your invitation to let the bots take the first pass at your Customer Database. While they sort your clients, you can spend your time refining your message and offers.
Quick Gorilla Dash Tips
Using Industry Tags in Campaigns

From your Dashboard, scroll to the left menu and click on Customers. The list includes a column for Industry, and each customer should have a tag. Where you have not set one, AI will fill in the industry for you.
To change the tag, click a customer name to open their record. Select a new option in the Industries field. You can select more than one if the customer falls under a few categories, but we don’t recommend that.
Build a Campaign for a Specific Industry
In Email Marketing, find the Mailing List tool. Click the
plus button to create a new mailing list.
Click the
radio button by Industries and select which industry (or a few related industries) you want to speak to. Give the mailing list a name and then Save.
Click Email Campaign to send a specific email that’s written for just the hospitality industry, professional services, or sports clubs — you choose!
Test, Learn and Refine
Start simple. Run one campaign for your biggest industry group and one for a smaller niche you want to grow.
Watch which industries open, click and buy. Then adjust your subject lines and offers to match the groups that respond best.
Over time, you will build a stronger customer base in the industries that will drive the most sales.
The More you Tag, the More you Grow
Better targeting means fewer irrelevant emails, more engagement and more chances to turn enquiries into revenue.
If you have new ideas for how industry tags could work better for your franchise, reply to this email and tell us.
Here is to letting the bots do the grunt work!
